What is the relationship between accommodations & accessible instructional materials? How are they the same? How are they different? Is one a subset of the other?

Accommodations - anything that allows a student to participate in an activity that was previously not possible due to his/ her disability.
A necessary adjustment that is made to help an individual with a specific need participate and progress in the general curriculum

AIM is a subset of accommodations.

An accommodation must be prescribed. Accessible materials can be a subset of accommodations.
